Drain engine coolant from radiator and cylinder block by removing the drain plugs. 2. Remove the intake manifold. 3. Remove exhaust manifold. 4. Remove camshafts. 5. Remove valve tappet s from cylinder head, then support front of engine with wood block between crankshaft pulley and front subframe.
TDCI 130bhp engine may suffer from starting problems and uneven idling, may misfire between 1,800 and 2,000rpm, may sometimes cut out and may not be particularly economical with 42.5 mpg fairly typical. Partially cured by a an ECU software download, but head and injectors have also been modified on later cars.

Hi I've got a 54 plate mondeo 2.0 tdci 130, there is some diesel around two of the injector pots, could it be a seal gone or do the two injectors need replacing. When it's started in the morning it runs really rough and there's blue smoke coming out, but when it's warm it runs fine still got the power there, Thanks
I've just bought a 2004 Mondeo TDCi Ghia X Estate 53 plate. 126k miles. Just had new clutch & DPF. I'm getting what sounds to me like a screeching noise under accelertion. Noise starts when torque builds then fades away. My injtial thought was the aux drive belt slipping but the Main dealer I bought the car from has dismissed this.

Mondeo 2 Ltr TDCI Injector Problems. I have had this car from new at the end of January 2002. The car is used for courier work town and country. After about 3000 mls the glow plug light started to flash, I took it back to my dealer and was told it was an injector fault. They adjusted the injector and it was OK for a few more 1000 miles.

So my mondeo cut out a few weeks back and had AA come recover it guy tells me its the injectors. Being a bit skeptic i did my research first and got a leak off test done. I found injector 4 to be completely over and 3 not far behind so got the injectors out and swapped in some new ones.

I had to replace the injectors on mine and after I refitted the leak of pipes they refused to stay on, like yours were constantly popping off. I bought new leak off pipes, r clips and the little o rings. Fitted them and they still kept popping off.
